What are the machines and coffee pods worth? Short answer:

Pods: 0,26* EUR or 2,16 SEK or 0,34 USD a piece

Zinzino charges about 0,5 EUR or 4 SEK or 0,63 USD. Overcharging by 86%.

Half automatic machine: 99** EUR or 820 SEK or 128 USD

Zinzino charges about 420 EUR or 3490 SEK or 545 USD. Overcharging by 226%.

But what about rebate with 12 month subscription? Not much of a rebate, since in that example the monthly cost will be risen by 45 SEK or 5,4 EUR a month. But aren’t prices generally lower in France? No, go to pricerunner and compare Nespresso machines. Go to french webshops and find out if Rombouts-Malongo are more expensive in general. You will find out that this is not the case.

Update, cheapest right now!

Half automatic machine: 79 EUR***

Pods: 0,21 *EURO a piece****

You can use parcel forwarding services to order! All in line with EU legislation.

    Hi again,
I have looked a bit further into their prices and posibilities and found out that I cannot buy a machine that many places on the internet and get it send to Scandinavia. They are either sold out or they do not ship to my country. UK, Germany, Ireland, France and Belgium perhaps, but not Scandinavia.. unless you use http://www.bpm-lux.com.
When you buy a machine from Zinzino, you are most likely to get it in an offer bundeled with extra coffee (or something else), for a discount price. At the moment the price for the Oh-machine is kr. 1595 incl. 96 pods. That machine is available for 120 € (kr. 900) + shipment, which is likeliy kr. 300. So the prices are not that much off, and the costumer service is a bit closer.
Also if I buy 288 pods on a webshop in France, which I did, then you pay kr. 3,75 a piece incl. transport and all. I had to check it out. That is also about the same price as Zinzino. Also you get the service, new water filters and a life-time warranty on the machine as long as you subscribe to a monthly delivery. Of course that costs something too.. if you want it.
So it is not that bad.

My opinion summed up is that the products are really good, prices are reasonable, but I just do not like the way they want the partners to lure their friends into buing Zinzino products and thereby making at profit on them.

      Hi!

You are comparing apples and oranges! Ordinary Zinzino price for the cheapest machine is 249 EUR. Ordinary price at Malongo web shop is 99 EUR. You can get the machine as cheap as 56 EUR right now. The price 180 EUR for that machine at Zinzino is when you sign up for subscription. That costs some EUR every month extra! Look at this comparison for 1 year consumption + machine:

Zinzino is 100 % more expensive than ordinary retail price at Malongo.

      As for warranties, check this:

      http://zinzinotruth.com/2013/03/20/zinzino-lets-see-what-zinzinotruthblogspot-dk-is-up-to/

When it comes to freight cost, Zinzino delivers every second month I think the cost is about 5 EUR, so 60 EUR for one year. 20 EUR is standard fee for delivering from UK for example, so you could order pods 3 times per year for the same cost.

If you use parcel forwarding costs rises, but remember that the pods are up to 100 % cheaper, for example in UK. Most of the times Zinzino is 80% more expensive, as can be seen on this page above.

And also, claiming that freight is expensive is kind of backwards. It is expensive because Rombouts/Malongo violates the Bolkenstein Directive, that is; refusing to deliver. Holding that as a con for Zinzino is backwards because it is their fault that there is no competition. Because of that I think no one should consume Rombouts coffee at all. I for instance tried Lavazza pods and I find it a viable alternative. No one would buy Audi cars if they were 100 % more expensive than in Germany for example, if importing was hard. You would buy a BMW instead for instance. In that example, maybe Audi tried to sell cars in a MLM scheme 😉

Your price claims are simply wrong, just look on the beginning of this page.

And I agree that you shouldn’t lure friends into this, because partners overpay even more than customers for no other reason than to provide cash flow to the partners above.

Are you from Denmark? If so, you are pretty close to Belgium and you could start your own grey import firm! Just rent a trailer and go buy some coffee, start a web shop and sell conveniently to the Nordic and Baltic country. All according to EU regulation.

Someone will do this eventually if there is real demand and that could put pressure on Zinzino to lower prices if not EU get Rombouts to comply with regulation first.
